Hara bhara Kebab (1)Today I am going to share with you all a recipe for which I have received a lot of requests. Many of my readers have requested me to share my Hara Bhara Kebab recipe.  This kebab or green patty is quite nutritious as it is packed with various green veggies and is also a powerhouse of deliciousness.  Hara Bhara Kebabs are a must have at Indian Cocktail Parties or any get together for that matter.

So let’s get cooking

Ingredients:

  • 20 -25 blanched Spinach Leaves
  • 1 cup boiled roughly crushed green peas
  • Few mint leaves
  • Few sprigs of Cilantro or Coriander leaves
  • ½ cup grated paneer (Indian Cottage Cheese)
  • 1 tsp Ginger Green Chilli Paste
  • 2 boiled and mashed Potatoes
  • 1 tsp cumin seed powder
  • 2-3 tbsp Cornflour
  • 3-4 tbsp Bread Crumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for frying

Procedure:

  1. Finely chop all the green leaves. In a large bowl  add mashed potatoes, spinach, crushed green peas, paneer , mint, cilantro, ginger green chilli paste, cornflour , cumin seed powder , bread crumbs and salt.
  2. Mix all the ingredients together and form a dough
  3. Make flat round kebabs out of the mix dough
  4. Deep fry or shallow fry the kebabs till golden brown on both sides.

Serve these hot and spicy kebabs either with green chutney or ketchup.Hara bhara Kebab (2)
